Australia Day

I am loving that it's Summer right now and that there are so many things going on OUTSIDE. I keep seeing all of the Facebook posts of how cold it is in the Northern Hemisphere and am glad that we are warm! ...BUT, school has begun, so it's only a matter of time until fall is here.

This post is long overdue because Australia Day is January 26th! We had a lovely Australia Day (which is like our Independence Day). We woke up early and went with our friends the Rossel's to a community fundraising brekkie (breakfast). And they even served Snags (aka. Sausage/hotdogs) at 7:30 in the morning. And you see the photo correct... they don't serve it here with a hot dog bun; it goes straight onto a piece of bread and you fold it up. Check out Tate's breakfast milk. I've never seen Chocolate Malt Ball Honey Milk before.

The brekkie was followed by a Peppa Pig concert which Tate was soooooooo excited for because he loves watching Peppa Pig on t.v. You can see a pic of him below waving at Peppa Pig. So cute!

AND, when was the last time you had a big 'ol Slurpee from 7/11?! I think they all shut down in Utah along with the Blockbusters. But they are all still going strong here. :) So we followed the Rossel's over to 7/11 for the biggest Slurpee you can get.

"Ahhh... Big Gulps, huh?!" -Dumb & Dumber
Those little Cadbury chocky's (chocolate) you see are full of fruit and nuts and jelly bean like candy. They have all sorts of candy bars - or should I say "lollies" like that here. Interesting.

Happy Australia Day!
